The tenant's Settings page decides how the tenant works: security, sign-in, invitations, sharing and each app. Every setting comes from the Shokoofa catalog with its type, allowed values and default.
Changing settings
Each setting has the control that fits it: a switch, a list of choices, a number with its allowed range, or a list with one entry per line. A setting you have changed shows Changed; Use the default puts the default back. Changes are collected until you choose Save changes; only the settings you changed are sent, with an optional reason for the history. Apps apply the new values within a minute.
If someone else saved settings while you were editing, your save is refused so nothing is overwritten; reload the page and make your change again.
Who can change what
Each setting names the permission it needs. Security, sign-in, guest and sharing settings need the security permission (owners, administrators, security administrators); app settings need the tenant settings permission; retention settings need the compliance permission; extension policy needs the integrations permission. A setting you can't change is shown Locked, with the permission it needs and the roles that have it. Settings marked "set by the Shokoofa platform", such as plan limits and the data region, are changed only by the platform.
History
History lists every saved version, newest first: when, by whom, what changed and why.
Settings to review first
- Two-step sign-in required for: a second factor is always recommended for administrators, and your organisation may require it for them; consider requiring it for everyone.
- Idle sign-out and Longest session: how long an unattended session stays open.
- Who may invite guests and Sharing outside the tenant: how far the tenant's content can reach.
